Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

– Prospecting calls – Spend time authentically connecting with customers
– Be able to make a sales pitch to potential customers
– Negotiate honestly and fairly to influence customers to work with Direct Traffic Solutions
– Always be proactive in your communication about transportation
– Oversee daily shipments, make sure they pick-up and deliver as per written agreements
– Proactively work to resolve issues for customers (creates increased customer loyalty over time)
– Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities

Job Requirements:

– College degree preferred, high school diploma with two years proven freight brokerage or sales experience
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, the Internet and ability to quickly learn new IT systems and platforms
– Strong telephone and written communication skills
– Assertive, passionate, and dedicated to succeed
– Ability to work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
– Ability to work in a blended role of Operations and Sales within an office environment
– Manage complex customer situations promptly and professionally
– Ability to multi-task
– Must read, write, and speak English fluently. Bi-lingual a plus.
– Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire for career advancement
